Boys Basketball remains undefeated headed into rivalry gameWednesday, January 20, 2016 NEWINGTON — The Newington boys basketball team could have won by whatever score it wanted on this night. Coach Scot Wenzel wasn’t trying to embarrass his opponent from Rocky Hill, but the Indians, even with his efforts to curtail the damage, took a 102-45 victory over the Terriers to move to 11-0. Brett Frank had 14 points and 10 rebound while Pablo Ortiz had 11 boards in the win. Jared Simmons led the offense with 18 points while Matthrew McKinnon had 10 and Nick Guadarrama 17 and Dante Phillip 11. Now Newington gets get for a big one Friday against Wethersfield.
