Guadarrama comes up big in win over Maloney

Newington 72, Maloney 55: The Indians continued their winning ways against Maloney to up their record to 16-0 on the season.

Jared Simmons once again led his team in points, recording 31, but it was teammate Nick Guadarrama who came up with the big game after scoring 23 points and coming down with 11 rebounds.

“Nick’s been playing well all season long,” Newington head coach Scot Wenzel said of the junior. ‘Especially as of late. He stepped up big tonight.”
