Boys Basketball sneaks by Bristol Central

Newington 45, Bristol Central 44: The Newington boys basketball team trialed for much of its game against Bristol Central but Jared Simmons hit one of two free throws with 17 seconds left to give the Indians a one-point lead which held up. Simmons ended the game with 11 points. Matt McKinnon had a double-double for Newington as he scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Andres Ithier only scored six points but had a huge game defensively. The Indians are now at .500 with their 4-4 record so far this season.
